Request options
Depending on the backend setup and applicable law, you may be able to request:
- Access to OwnVitals app data associated with your device ID.
- Deletion of synced HealthKit samples and sync logs.
- Correction of account or configuration records controlled by OwnVitals.
- Rotation or revocation of device tokens and dashboard tokens.
How to make a request
Email support@ownvitals.com with the subject line "OwnVitals Data Request". Include the device ID shown in the app if you know it. Do not include device tokens, dashboard tokens, or other secrets in the email.
Verification
OwnVitals may need to verify that you control the relevant app configuration or backend account before completing a request. This helps prevent unauthorized access or deletion.
Deleting local app data
You can remove local app settings by deleting the app from your iPhone. You can revoke Health permissions in iOS Settings or the Health app. These steps stop future app access on that device but do not automatically delete data already synced to a backend.
Backend data
If you operate your own backend, you may need to delete data directly from that backend. OwnVitals can only process deletion or access requests for systems it controls or is authorized to administer.
Timing
Requests are usually reviewed within 2 business days. Completion time may vary based on verification, backup schedules, legal requirements, and the backend environment involved.
